What is USB Type-C ?

I think you have known the Micro USB connector, for its most widely using.

And if you have any iphone , you must know the Lightning connector.

And now, what is USB Type-C ? it seems appear everywhere in the electronic devices.

USB Type-C is an industry-standard connector for transmitting both data and power on a single cable. The USB-C connector was developed by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), the group of companies that has developed, certified, and shepherded the USB standard over the years.

Check the picture below:

The right one is your most familiar Micro USB connector.

The middle one is apple’s Lightning connector.

And the lest one is the USB Type-C, we call it Type-C or USB-C for short.

OK, Answer complete.

Good bye!

You asked me why we need this USB-C since we already have Micro USB and Lightning?

Oh, an easy question.

Because it is better.

Better than Micro USB and Lightning.

Better where?

Everywhere, my friends.

1, Faster: 10Gb per second maximal. Which means 1 second to transfer a 4K movie.

2, Multi-functions: it can be use for recharge, and transfer data, and even transfer Audio signal, which means, you don’t need HDMI、DVI、VGA connectors any more.

3, Two-way transmission: with it, you can use a Charmast power bank to recharge your phone, and you can use your phone to recharge your Charmast power bank. I know, I know you won’t do that, it’s just a metaphor. You can use your laptop to recharge your phone through this USB-C connector.

4, Convenient: there is no heads and tails, you can plug any side in the ports.

5, Progressive: USB-C connector will replace Micro USB and Lightning in the future. Even obstinate as apple had used USB-C on the macbook pro since 2016.

Oh, by the way, it is better looking than Micro USB and Lightning, I guess.

Now, a commercia break, as you may have prepared.

Most of Charmast power banks have the USB USB-C ports, search “Charmast power bank with USB type C”, you will find what you want.

Enjoy the technology of the future, you deserve it!
